A meeting of tho executive of the Tradesmen's Association was held' on Wednesday afternoon, when Uio follow ng resolution was passed ' — "That this meeting „f the executive of the Tradesmen's Association, believing that tho convenience of tho travelling public and the prompt delivery and mails and cargo would be seriously interfered with by tho discontinuance of tho daily steamer senvice with Onehunga, urges upon tho shipping companies the desirability of its continuance during tho winter months." It was further resolved that copies of the above bo forwarded' to the Auckland and Wellington Chambers of Commerce and the various associations throughout tho province, asking thejr co-operation, and also to the Postmaster-General and tho i member for this district.
