EULOGISED BY MR SEDDON. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTOw, April 30. Some hundreds of people attended at the Parliamentary buildings' in response to an invitation issued bjf the Ministry for the purpose of meeting General Booth. In introducing the General, Mr Soddon said l the visitor was respected throughthe civilised world. People who were sceptical at the time when the Solvation Army commenced work must now realise that there was necessity for it. The difHculties which had been overcome must have east down a weuker man than he to whom they now paid deference. General Booth, in replying, said the Army was justified by tho existence of certain circumstances and conditions amongst mankind. In India alone there were something like forty million of people who did not know what it was l'ike to have a satisfactory meal, and in the very centres of civilisation, of wealth and learning, there were musses o,f people who found living a misery.
