The Irish National Party.
BLESSED BY THE POPE, (Received April 29, 0.14 a.m.) ROME, April 28. In an audience granted Mr J. E. Redmond, inquiring upon everything relating to Ireland, the Pope said the National Party's grand defence of Ireland's national religion and the Party's efforts to win liberty for Ireland and civil and religious right lor Irish people by lawful and peaceful means had the Pope's blessing. His Holiness sent an Apostolic -benedict/ion to the members of the Party and their families. The Pope presented Mr Redmond with his portrait and autograph with the inscription " Hoping tKe Party using all pacific and legal means, will win that liberty which makes for the welfare of the Catholic Chiirch through the whole country."-
