Thi meeting passed oil very well. The substantial prize money offered induced good competition, even though the scratching pen was freely used. The pedestrian events exciUxl a good deal of interest, and tho handicapper succeeded in bringing the men well together in several of the races. Very good times wore recorded in most instances. The bicycle races set down promised somo exciting sport, but the grass track proved most dungcrous in its' wet state, and the races were robbed of a' good deal of interest. Falls were very numorous, und though none of the riders wero injured sevoral had their bicyclesbadly damaged and put out of action. So prevalent were "spills" that of six in the llnal of the Half Mile Handicap only two riders wero left to iigkt out the finish. The conduct of the Meeting left nothing to be idesircd, and the oflicials are to be complimented on keeping the events right up to time. The Highland events and the skirl of the bagpipes HUed in time very pleasantly, while the selections rendered by the Town lfand, under ltandmaster Gurry during the afternoon wero much appreciated.
