THE TAUANAKI—AUCKLAND MATCH. With Commendable spirit the Northern Cricket Association of Tarauaki, undeterred by the southern body declining to i>arlici]>ate in organising u fully representative team, have satisfactorily completed arrangements to send a team to play an iuler-proviucial match aguinst Auckland on Halurduy und Mondny next. 'l'he district clubs huvo been drawn wpon, and the team will in' fairly representative of the cricket strength of this portion of the province at least.
Mr A. llewlcy, of the New Pljmoulh Club, who hub tuken a great interest, in the matter, will go in charge of the eleven, which is thus comprised :—Messrs A, S. Hasell, K. Lash, (!. ltiaund (New Plymouth) . \V. l'erhaui, !•'. C. Holkmlsoii, T. 11. Koberlson (Cnrrjiiglon Kond) ; M. J. Ciombie, U. Gudgeon. 1). L'legg (Inglewood) ; Hclioiieid and C. Wilson (I'retiui). The team will .leave I for Auckland this (Thursday) evening, returning on Tuesduy morning. The following players have hvei selected to represent Auckland :— I). Hay, W. Sletnson, J. Kal'endwr, K. Jones, T. Klliott, W. Smith, Fruncis, H. Muron, C. Olilf, B. Sale, E. MacCormick.
