To-day the Wellington Park Estate, formenly the property of Mr Thus. Morrto, was sold by auction J by order of tho Registrar of the Supreme Court, at the rt|[\ici*l of the mortgagee. Tho estate, situated at Panmure, had tor many years past, been used as a breeding establishment for thoroughbred horses, end Is at present occupied by the Wellington Pork Stud Company. It comprises about 206 rjcres of land, on portions of which stand tho homestead and sr.vcra* outbuilding!., tho total ya-luc by the Government Land Valuation Department being close on £20,000. Tho buihliaga are insured to tho extent of £4300, and are vaduod at on £6OOO. The first and only bid received was £9550, at which figure the estalo was knocked down, the purchasers being Messrs E« M. Coleman and J. Owen. The estate was purchased purely as a speculation, and to what use it will be put in the future is not yet known.
