Egmont National Park Board.

Owing to wet weather the meeting of the Egmont National Park Board proposal to be held at the Dawson's I'alls House took place at tho Borough Council Chumbers, Stratford, on Ihursdny. There were present • Messrs Simpson (Chairman), binirle King, and Wrigley. An apology for absence was received from Mr Collis, whilo the Chairman apologised for the absence of Mies- P. Smith. The meeting confirmed the chairman's action in allowing Mr Looney's application to lake .over an additional four acres at Patua, and the Chairman was authorised to make any necessary terms with Mr Looney. 'J'he question of erecting guide posts between the Stratford House and the summit of the mountain was left in the hands of Messrs Dingle and King. Sir St. Clair was appointed a ranger.

Air Murray, District Koad Engineer, was authorised to expend the sum of £lO 5« standing at credit of the Stratford-Dawson's Falls truck on such connecting track. A meeting will be 'held next senson at the Dawson's Foils House, and another at the Egmont House. The expenditure was £376 Is 9d, divided as follows :-North Committee £94 us Bd, South Committee £l5B Is lOd, East Committee £BS 5s Id, West Committee £27 9s 2d, Hoard £lO 14,;. Thg balance, £ll9 8s 4d i* apportioned ;—North £l6 4s 2d, South £lO 4s Sd, East £43 4s, West 4d, General Board £49 15s 2d.
