The engineer reported at Monday night's meeting of the Council : "Tho prices of water by meter for iminufaicturing, -hydraulic lift, etc., range generally from nincpence to tenpenco per 1000 gallons throughout New, Zealand and Australia, and T consider Uiajf nlnaponco wpjild be. n fa|r and reasonable charge for New Plymouth. I may mention that the ratp in Auckland is- tenpen.ee. lam preparing a ro» povt on tho wholo subject of water supply and charges, which I hope to [submit at an early date."I Consideration was referred to the new Council.
