—•— MR HENRY McCULLOCK.; (Per Press Association.) INVEHCARGILL, April 9. Henry McCutlock, tirst Provincial Auditor of Southland, afterwards Resident Magistrate and Sheriff here, died to-day, aged 83. He wa9 one of the early runholtlcrs in the South, and on the- separation of Southland from Otago was appointed auditor, lie retired from magisterial work many years ago, and took up his re» -idenee in the North, returning to Invercargill some three years ago. A man of singularly kindly, nature, lie was greatly respected. As a magistrate his decisions were generally accepted as equitable. Jt was said that only one of his judgments was reversed on appeal. lie is survived by one daughter, Mrs G. G. Burnes. MR. L. D. N.\THAN 4 AUCKLAND, April 9.
