The Mail Contract.
(Received April -8, 1.18 a.111.) MELBOURNE, April 7. After a long*'interv ew with the Orient Company's manager, the Post-master-General announced that if the reply from London is favourable to certain conditions, the contract for the mail service will be ready for signature.
