VAN BIENK IN "THE BROKEN MELODY."
, To-morrow (Tuesday) evening Augtiste Van Bione and his specially selected London Company will produce for two nights only the famous play "The Broken Mc.fotly," specially written in 181)2 for him, and in which he has played over 4000 times. This constitutes' a record in many ways. The plot of the drama is easily told. Paul Borinski (Van liicnc),.in realllity a proscribed Count, is the hero. Of Van Bienv's acting it has lx;en said that in the more emotional passages lie is strongly reminiscent of Henry Irving, which is great praise indeed. llis famous cello solo's, which he will change on Wednesday evening, are, of course, u t>ig feature of tile perfornwince, and render it of even greater value to playgoers. The company suppocting Van lliene include Miss Lena lluriveigh (as Paul's wife), Miss Mario lugnold (as the Duchess), Miss Ida Chapman, Miss Avis Graham, Mia Morion, and Messrs John Denton.
