Mr E. J. Humphrey has lwen recommenced by the committee for appointment to the Pungalvhu School. King George Tubon 11., of Tonga, arrived in Auckland by the s.s. Ilauroto on Thursday. Reuters Agency reports.that Lord Kelvin, who recently underwent an ojiera'Lion, is progressing satisfactorily. The Rev. J. lienning (who was recently received into the Primitive Methodist ministry) left Auckland on Friday to lake up work in tho Eltham and Stratford district. The Rev. Alexander McKinlay, of' Germanton (New South Wales), has received enough Presbyterian votes to insure his re-election as Moderator of the General Astombly, which uie<As in Sydney on Slay 19.
