Murderous Assault.
(Received March 24, 11.4 p.m.)... BRISBANE, March 21. A mail named Munday xvas stuck up on the Tooxvong road an:l shot, the bullet passing through the anil into the abdomen. The robber, hearing assistance comibjg, decamped. Subsequently an old man named namei Wharton was arrested, the arresting constable felling him as he was drawing a loaded revolver. Monday is in the hospital in a serious condition, lie identified Wharton as his assailant.
