The approximate cost was Ju-'UOU. .Mr Spencer informed the Hoard that it was unnecessary to prepare an elaborate plan to submit to the Department, and that the ground plan was sufficient. This was only a preliminary step. . Mr Mackay moved that the plan Ibe forwarded to Wellington for the I Ministers' approvul. This was agreed to.
