Charges for Hospital Patients.
AMENDED HATES. At meeting of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Hoard, the followiing resolution was carried on the motion of Mr iirown, seconded by Mr Cock :—" That the charge for patients in our own district be the same as at present, 4s per diem, ami those from outside the ttistrictl 7s per diom, a nd that in all cases where a third consultant or assistant is. in' the opinion of the medical superintendent required, the fees of .such- third consultant or assistant shall be paid to the Board, by the patient on whose behalf lie is employed, in addition to the ordinary charge for maintenance and medical treatment. Also, no patient from outside our own district be admitted without payment of one month's maintenance ii) advance, and in the event of the patient not rumaiiting the month, the balance of •deposit to Ik; refunded ! palientH will be admitted from other districts on an order from the Hospital Hoard of the district in which they reside, or any approved person, Operations :—Any ixjrson going into the hospital for a fractional part of a week will he charged lit the rate of a full week's maintenance."
