OBSTINATE RESISTANCE.
ALLEGING SHELLING OF THE WOUNDED. (Received March 10.10.11 p.m.) LONDON, March 10. General Oyauia reports that the whole district west of the railway southward of Hunho is in Japanese bands. The Japanese, despite the obstinate resistance, occupied Sieochitun, Jive miles north-west of Mukden. Pachiastin, two miles north"est of Sieochitun; also Santa itsi. Our force," bo said, " destroyed the railway north Of Mukden. The enemy, since WedHewiay, arc frequently shelling our killed and wounded during transit in stretchers and carriages westward of Nungkuantun, twelve miles south-west, of Mukden. The i enemy continues an obstinate resistance in places.
