THE METHODIST CONFEREE
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 6. At the Methodist Conference, with ono exception, the probationers were passed in their respective vcars. Hevs. Cook, Eaton and Header wer o ordained ministers. Messrs Mair, Cox, Maslin, McArthur, Richards', Bands, and Williams were accepted as candidates lor probation, Mr Williams to be appointed to a circuit. Hev. L. Hudson, Queensland, returns to New Zealand as exchange for Rev. S. F. Prior, Invcrcargill. Hev. A. J. Seamcr was appointed assistant to Kov. W. Gittos, Maori missions. The voluntary resignation of Rev. S. Harnett, Pahiatua, was accepted. Rev. J. S. Snialley was made permanent supernumerary, and Rev. W. Ilauniber, supernumerary. Revs. J. H. Simmonds and J. Dukes, who are visiting England, were appointed co-representatives to the British Conference. Rev. C. H. Laws, H.A.> received permission to visit England in 1906. Revs. F. W. and L. M.'lsitt cqntimie ministers without pastoral charge. The representative confprenpe agreed to thp Auckland Synod's recommendation of Pitt Street and Grafton Road circuits. Discussion on tKiTaJtcration of circuit boundaries in North Canterbury was adjourned. Additional probationers aro to be appointed at New Plftnouth, Ashburton. Levin, Otaki, ami Dunedin (Cargill Road) circuits. In connection '••with the extension in Dune-din. Hev. C. H. Laws announced a generous gift of £500.' Hearty thanks were accorded to the donor.
