The statement of assets and liabilit es showed :—Liabilities : Unsecured creditors, £IU2 7s yd, Asi sets : Four pe/. cent, of calves on Mr .1. Fleming's farm, £4 ; furniture, i£10; cash in hand, £,"> ; leaving a | deficit of £|7H 7s (hi. ! llankrupt stated that the £5 had been utilised for living expenses. I It was brought out tint Hie bankrupt had a family of eight, who had suffered bud health. j Bankrupt, sworn, said he had been milking on shares two years in '.August. He could neither read nor write, and could not give an account of his expenditure. Lost year he had milked SO cows, getting' 43 per cent of the prolits. 1 After discussion it was decided that the Official Assignee write to Mr Fleming to ascertain what pay,ments ha<l been made to the banknipt during the pa(t twelvemonths.
