MEETING OF C'HEIUTOKS. An adjourned meeting of creditors in the estate of James Gridcn, lab- , ourer, of New Plymouth, was held in the otiice of tlio Uoputy-Odlcial Assignee (Mr J. S. Medley) on 1 day aftcrnoou. There weso present— Messrs Vcale,. E. Sole, Wells, Mon- , teath, and Boon. Mr T. S. Weston appeared on lH'linlf of the bunkrupt. Tlve amended statement of assets , and; liabilities was read by the I\sp-uty-Official Assignee, showing unsecured creditors £!S(>6 13s 'Jd, secured creditors £45 ; assets : book debts lis, property l.i.p. at Spotswood , £250. Bankrupt snid he owed his position to losing £207 on a contract in Gover street for Mr Kolsey. There was still 25 per cent, owing on this contract, about £207. There was a dispute,as to extras', as there was no written contract. Mr Monteath said there was no documentary evidence as to the extras. | Mr Weston said that probably , there was a clause in the contract ' accounting for Mr ICelsey withhold-' ing the money. I It was decided to render an account for £207 to Mr Ivelsoy. The bankrupt said Mr Kefsey maintained the contract was not finished. The D.O.A. statel that Messrs Boon Bros, had a lien on the property, though ho hud not been able to obtain legal advice, ns there were no funds in the estate.
