Dunlop Motor Contest.

(Received Feb. 26, 4.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 86. A big and enthusiastic crowd, ineluding the State Governor, -who suV s«iuenlly congratulated the competitors, assembled to witness the finish of the motor contests. The Bret to arrive was Steven*, who covered the lust stage of iOO miles in 3hours 24 minutes. lie was followed by C. il. Kellow (Victoria), 7 horse power Talbot car, in 4 hours 14 minutes ; Maillard (New South' Wales), IS horse power Brazier car, in S hours 27 minutes. The first motor cycle*, ridden by, Withers and James (Victorians) came in 81 and 04 minutes respectively behind Stevens, whoso average time for the whole journey was 24 miles. The maximum points —2500, according to the condition* of the contest—were secured in various sections by Stevens, Horn, and Tarrant on heavy cars ; by Craven. Coleman, and Hall on light cam; and by James and Gard on motor cycles. All the winners are Victor inns. The contest will enable a final decision, Melbourne to ltallarat, to be arranged.
