Waitara West Road Board.
At the meeting of above Hoard there were present—Mr S. Tunvbull (chairman), Messrs Connctt, Coxhead, French, and llellicr. (.'orrespondence was l read from Mrs Jennings re overcharge of rates ; from Treasury re Woolley read loan ; and from Messrs Roy and Wilson re price of land taken for deviating Te Arei road. The clerk was directed to write to Mrs Jennings and inform her the Board have no power to alitor the valuations. Mr G. Hall attended the meeting and reported that ho had inspected all the bridges in the district, and found them in failcondition, excepting a bridge culvert on the Kelly road, which required renewing, and slight repairs were wanted to bridge on Richmond road. The. surfaceman reported that he had .formed about SO chains of the Richmond road, and 'that he would re- ' quire about 2'2 pipes for Woolley 'road. Accounts were passed for pay'ment, and the Board rose.
