Mr McCluggage moved that consent bo given on payment of Is; per cord, but the motion was not seconded,. The Commissioner moved that permission be given on condition that the timber is cut on a face, al'l underscrub to be burnt oft at the pi oper season and the land sown in grass, and no royalty charged. This was seconded by Mr Rnttenburyand carried, Mr McCluggage dissenting on the ground that the company was already hampered bv bad access,, and that reasonable facilities should be afforded wbi'le the road was bad.
—Ranger's Report The ranger reported again on the vnluation of sec <lßa, block 1, Mahoc, proposed to be added to Mr J. T. McCluggnge's holding under section 114 of the Act.
