A SYNAGOGUE WRECKED. (Received Feb. 15, 1.12 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 14. In an aiiti-Jowish riot at Hamel a thousand drunken peasants wrecked a synagogue, and flogged 300 Jews. Several died, including a girl. One thousand seven hundred .lews wore seriously wounded. I The police remained passive throughout the attack. \MELIORATIVE MEASURES FOR TREATMENT OF WORKERS. (Received Feb. 15, 1.12 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 14. The Committee or Ministers has instructed General Kokovtesefl to frame a scheme for improving the workmen's lot by giving medical assistance, shortening hours, altering ! strike laws, and limiting the author'ity of factory inspectors.
