An astounding demonstration took place at the annual ball of the Engineering Institutes, Moscow, held :in the Nobles' Assembly Hall, where I the police arc forbidden to make arrests. Instead of dancing, the Marsellai.se was played, the students making revolutionary speeohes, and shouting "Stop the war !" "Down with Autocracy !" Proclamations were issued threatening to mobilise the working classes and upset the Government, which it is alleged is Russia's worst foe.
