WHO WILL GET THE COIN ? (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND!, Feb. 3. Four lawyers were engagticl in Chambers at the Supremo Court this morning in a case involving ,£1571 jof truft money. The case, which •was heard before Mr Justice Bd- | wards, wus one on liehulf of the trus'tccri of a charitable fund of the, amount stated now lying unused,, 'applied for tho Court's sanction of a, I scheme to hand the money over to 'the management committee of the iDoor of Hope Rescue organisation. JMr Soulhey Baker appeared on bejhalf of the Door of Hope in support of the application. Mr McYoagih, for Canon Mac Murray and others concerned with the Anglican Rescue Homes, and Mr C. F. Huddle for the Salvation Army, opposed tho scheme, and urged that ihu fund should he equally divided between the three organisations. For the applicants it was stated that the money was for an undenominational home,, the Door of Hope being the only such organisation in Auckland, the other two homes mentioned being under denominational management. Mr McVeagh, opposing l on behalf of the Church of England, submitted affidavits signed by the, widow of the late Dr. Kiixleij. of Remuera, one of the original contributors to the fund ; by Miss Hudson, superintendent of the present Anglican Home ; by Mrs Cowies, of Otahuhu ; ami by Canon MacMurrav. The.se affidavits emphasised the fact that the fund was started entirely by Anglican money, and was enlarged mainly from the same source. Mr C. F.
