North Egmont Forest Board.
A meeting of the" board was held on Tuosday evening at Messrs W. J. Shaw and Co.'s office, there being present : Messrs \V. H. Skinnor (Chairman), Collis, Dockrill, F. A. Carringtou, and E,. W. Garner than, secretary).
It was notified that the .Minister of Tourists and Health Resorts had revised the allocations mado by the National Park Hoard with the result that the North Egmont Board will receive, £45 out of the £2OO voted for improvements to trackr, etc.
It was decided to request the district road engineer (Mr Murray) to expend a sum not exceeding £lO in rounding up tho track, and keeping it on general order.
Messrs Collis and Carrington were appointed a sub-committee to enquire as to the cost of erecting a Diving room for the caretaker ai ihe mountain house.
Mr \V. 11. Skinner having stated that he found it necesuary to retire from the -board, great I egret was expivssled by all present at losing 'his services, which were warmly eulogised. It was resolved that the resignation be accepted with great regret, and that t-ho board place on record its appreciation of Hie long and valued services rendered by Mr Skinner in fuinhering the interests of the tourist traffic to tho mountain 1 .
Accounts were passed fir payment.., It was decided to- affix a notice [board on the gate at the radius line, and another board near Mr Cash's house notifying where the key of 'the entrance gate is kepi, The board iihen adjourned.
