ALLEGED THEFT OF GOLD.
A MINING MANAGER CHARGED. (Per Press Association.) . NELSON, Jan. 30. Frank Johnson, who was manager of tliu (! olden Blocks mine, West W'anganui, near Collingwood, was to-duy charged with the theft 'of gold of the value of £3130, and also ■ with attempting to sell the gold. After the hearing of evidence for the prosecution accused reserved his defence, and was committed foe trial, bail in two sureties of .£2OO each and accused of £3OO being granted.
