Will you take steps in the near future to have the powers and functions of school committees defined and elaborated, ho as • to change the present state of tilings under which—though committee* may become liable for wrongdoing or even accident to an employee—their power on matters of ordinary school appointments is absolutely nil, and tbeir consideration of matters audi as the present application are not even being considered T"
