The Ellamore Vale miners, after bring idle for three weeks, have decided to resume, and will do wheeling in place of the wheelers. (Received Jan. 26, 10.56 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 26. The Seaham and West Wallsend wheelers have offered to resume work on the masters'' terms, viz., 10 per cent, reduction. The Ellainone Vale wheelers resumed work today on the 10 per cent, reduction basis. It is understood the miners are making up five per cent, of this reduction. The secretary of the Colliery Employees' Federation wrote to the Attorney-General asking whether, if the men agreed to return to work 1 and state a case* for the Arbitration 'Court, the court would sit within three weeks and hear the dispute. The Attorney-General replied ! that until all hands had actually re- j sumed work in obedience to the order of the court he would be un- ' able to make any promise. When the 1 men resumed he would approach the court and ask for an early sitting. The Attorney-General made a statement to-day that, typical cases having bivn heard in the police court and all available facts dealing with the various collieries elicited, he would not waste time in hearing every individual case ; but would therefore file an indictment at the Quarter Sessions against all other defendants. (Received Jan. 27, 1.5 a.m.) •SYDNEY, Jan. 26. The wheelers, at an aggregate meeting, decided to resume work on Tuesday on the proprietors' terms.
