A Startling Discovery.
Shortage in a Bank's Reserve Bullion(Received Jan. 24, 10.10 p.m.) MELBOURNE, J an. 24. While verifying the bullion kept in the bank treasury for reserve purpores the manager of the Bank" of Australasia at Bendigo found it £21200 short. The bullion was checked six months ago, and was then apparently all right, There is a possibility that a mistake has been made in checking!.
