Mr ,J. S. Medley has been elected chairman of tiw Conciliation Hoard for die district of Taranaki. A wedding in which was -manifest-' eded considerable i interest, took place at St. Andrew's Church on Tuesday, the contracting parties being Miss Annie Blackwood, only child of Mr and ATrs Thomas Itlackwood. of "Ratahangai," Old Hospital Road. Newj Plymouth-, and Mr Wilfred Johnstone, \ fifth and youngest son of the late Captain' John Campbell Johnstone, of Waiukii, Waikato (Auckland). The Rev. s! S. Osborne was the officiating clergyman.
