New South Wales Loan.
Amount Over-Subscribed. (Received Jan. 17, 10.8 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 17. [ The Agent-General has advised the Premier that cash applications for tho New South Wales loan were considerably in excess of the two millions required. The list was closed on Saturday, but exchange for Treasury bills and bond-holders remains open until the 23rd. Mr Carruthers (Premier) explains that, having been so largely overapplied for, the list had been prematurely closed, as the option had . been given to holders of bills to be redeemed in March and July to take ' up stock.
