resolution of December 20th lust, and of Mr Van Asch's reply on the 'subject. —Surrender of Lease.— I Mr M. Burgess, who holds a lease of section 75, block 6, Ngaire, ;which expires in August, l!>0(i, waited on the board, and stated that he would surrender it if the land could 1)0 disposed of to him under a more assured tenure.—The board resolved .that in the event of the leuse being surrendered the land must bo put up for sale by public auction. —Losses by Slips.— I Messrs .J.
