Information conies from London this morning .of the death of the Earl of Cair.s, which occurred at Cannes, froir heart disease. The deceased was born in 1803, and succeeded to 'the title in .1890. News Ncomo* from Whangarei of the death of Mr John Munro, aged "6. Ho was father of a ones-time member of the Auckland Provincial Council. Deceased was first Customs officer at Whangarei Heads. The death is announced of Prince Karl Alexander of Lippje-Dctmoldi one of the German States. The Sate 1 rince was bora in 1831, and succeeded „ n 1895. Since 1898 the principality has been governed bv a regent, Count Ernst, concerning whose office there has recently been some disagreement between the Kais>ei and the State Diet.
