Suicide Following Insomnia.

KALGOORLIE (W.A.), Dec. 25. Frank Crook, accountant at tho Golden Horseshoe mine, died from the elTects of Cyanide poisoning yesterday. On the previous evening -he was seemingly in good health ami spirits, b.ut early on Saturday morning he was observed walking about in tho vicinity of the mine office as if ,i in trouble. Later on Be was found in an unconscious state in his bedroom by a clerk, an employee of the company. Medical assistance was promptly summoned, but in the meantime Crook had died. Deceased, who had filled the position of accountant at the Golden Horseshoe Company for the past five years, was held in tha highest esteem by the management and his fellow employees. Latiterly ho had been suffering acutely from insomnia, but no trouble is known that would causo him to take his own life. He was a native of Victoria, where his relatives reside.-
