(Per Press Association.) GISIIORNE, Dec. 7. A poll in connection with 'IV' Arai water supply scheme (loan of £75,000) was carried !by 583 vote's against 157. Thu weather was cold and wintry, 'but notwithstanding this keen interest wns taken in the poll. Messrs Sargood, Son, and Ewen's fine new building was opened to-dny. Congratulatory speeches were made at a gathering presided over by the Mayor, who incidentally mentioned that he had done business with the firm for 35 years. Mr P.
