Lord Tumour (Conservative and Tarill Reformer) was elected for Horsham Division of Sussex, replacing Mr J. H. Johnstone (Conservative), deceased. Lord Tumour polled 4388 and Mr Erskine (Liberal) 3604. Mr Chamberlain and the Right Hon. A. J. Balfour (Prime Ministor) telegraphed congratolations.
