HIGH TRIBUTES TO LORD LANSDOWNE. HIS INFLUENCE FOR PEACE. LONDON, Nov. 10. The Times declares that the Marquess of Lansdowne's statement on llritain's foreign relations is satisfactory. The Radical newspapers pay a tribute to Lord Lansdowne as a peace Minister in a one-uinn Ministry, to whom the nation owes a debt of gratitude. As a result of the speech the Stock Exchange shows a strong tone. (Received Nov. 11, 10.16 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 11. Lord Lansdowne's speech has treated an excellent impression abroad, especially in its references to the peace movement. FEDERAL POLITICS. .*,— ■ - ANOTHER POSSIBLE TURN OF THE WHEEL. MR REID ON OBSTRUCTION. (Received Nov. 11, midnight.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 11. Dealing with the obstruction of the Estimates in the House, Mr Reid said he declined to take the conduct of a few members as a proof that the whole of the Opposition were responsible for 'the obstruction. If, he said, the whole Opposition showed in unmistakeable terms or by their conduct that they were determined to bring about a dissolution he would not be far off.
