(J'er Press Association). INVEKCARGILL, Oct. 27. I At the Police Court John Lewis j (Whittingham was convicted of sell- j ixlg beer at Maniderville without be-; ing licensed to do so. The defend-j ant's brewery is in Gore, within the Mataura no-licen.se district, but he took oiders at Manderville, which Is in the Wakatipu licensing area. The Magistrate held that the license only permitted Whditting'hani to sell at his brewery. The fixing of a penalty was deferred.
