Japanese torpodo-boats have been sighted in Gashkevitch Bay. This is supposed to indicate that an early descent 0 n Possiet Hay, Siberia, is intended. SUBMARINER FOR RUSSIA. REPORTED CONSTRUCTION IN GERMANY AND AMERICA. LONDON, Oct. 24. Two Russian submarines, said to be destined to Vlaiddvost'ok, have been shipped in sections from NewYork aikd Hamburg. Other submarines are being built for Russia at Newport News, Virginia, U.S.A. LATEST NEWS. ARMIES LESS THAN SIX VERSTS APART. (Received Oct. 26, 0.7 a.m..) LONDON, Oct. 25. The Russians recrossed the Sha-ho on their left on the 21st, and are now entrenching as they advance, since it is impossible to face the shrapnel without protection. Less than six versts separate the armies. Want of fuel is proving a serious drawback.
Reuter's agency reports that General Oku is receiving large reinforcements.
