VICTORIAN BUDGET.

(Received Oct. 12, 1.10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Oct. 11. In the Assembly Mr Bent, State Treasurer,, delivered his Budget statement. The revenue received was £7,508,000, being £356,000 above the estimate, Railways yielded £3,417,000, or £197,000 over the estimate, and the Commonwealth' returned to Victoria £2,002,000, or £58,000 in excess of the estimate. The expenditure amounted to £6,915,000, leaving a, surplus of £593,000.The estimated revenue for the current year is £7,,219,000, including £1,970,000 to be returned by the Commonwealth, and expenditure £7,046,000, leaving an anticipated surplus of £173,000.
