A heavy southerly is now (2.30 p.m.) Wowing, and tremendous seas are breaking over t«ie vessel. A lifeboat, is out trying to rescus the crew. I (Received Oct. 1, 0.7 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 80. | The crew were rescued uninjured', though t.hcy had a , rough experience. whi!e being hauled aboard the lifeboat in a mountainous soa. | At the time of the disaster two tugs were engage*! in towing the larque in, when the line to one broke, and the weight of the vessel, 1 with the heavy gale, was too much : for the other. The Adolphe drifted : to the oyster bank, the huge rollers ■planting her on the ribs of the old wrecks of the steamers Wemdourec and I .indus, where she filled'and settled down, though the hull remained above water. The crew found a re- 1 fuge on board till they were rescued; but lost everything.
