A cable message from Berlin states that Count Herbert Bismarck is seriously ill. A London cablegram reccivod last evening stated that Lord Ranfurlt wus warmly welcomed on visiting his seat at Dungannon, County Tyrone, Ireland. Alec Anderson, a boy of flight, has been presented with the Royal Humane Society's certiiicato by the Mayor of Woodville, for a gallant attempt to rescue a. younger brother from drowning. Captain Mainland and Fireman Rowland, of tho Oamaru Fire Brigade, ha\o been presented with the gold star of the Fire Brigades' Association of New Zealand, they having completed 125 years' service as members of tiro brigades. Mr .lohn Murrell, formerly manager for tho Huddart-l'arker Proprie, tnry and the South African Steamship Company, in Wellington, who went to St. Louis to assist in arranging the New Zealand Government's exhibit at the World's Fair, is now a citi/en of Zion City. His wife and family ara also living In I Dowie's city. Mr "Uurrell holds a post in the Z'ion lace factory.
