A Question of Audit.
(Per Press Association.) HOKITIKA, September 14. At tho Education Board's meeting to-day correspondence was reaid from tho Auditor-General demanding a copy of the board's balance-sheet on tho form provided I) 3' tho .Audit Department, and practically threatening to stop tho board's supplies unless tho deuwnd was acceded to. Tho bpard was of opinion that the Auditor-General was mistaken in his facts, and t.ill he withdrew the chailffe of misfeasance or nristapproprlation of funds which ho had made against the board further information would be refused except the copy of the balance-sheet as already forwarded. It was also decided to forward a resume of the whole correspondence to th* Minister ior £Sduc«tlon\
