Two workmen were seriously ■burned, and had to be takes to the hospital. The building and plant were insured for £750, and stock for £SOO both in the North Queensland office. Tons of explosives simply burned away. (The works .were only established a few. months ago.) Later. The Taipo Explosives Company Cabled for new machinery to-day, end expects to be in the position it .was in before the fire in about four months. The loss above insurance is estimated at £i)000 to £SOOO. The nre haa proved conclusi'/ely that "taipo'- cannot be exploded -fey fire.
