LOSS OF THE ASKOLD. LONDON, August 17. [{(•ports received from his destroyers convince Admiral Togo that the Russian cruiser l'allaila ivos sunk. Jt is ollioially announced at St. Petersburg that the Askold was lost, and that 11 men were killed and 46 wounded. The Askold's crew are reported to have been in a starving condition.
Every officer of the Ccsarevitch was killed or wounded, a midshipman takfrig command.
