Mails will close at the Chiel Post Office, Devon-street, as follows For Wellington and South, daily per express, at 6.30 a.m. Late lee {mail van) at 7.25 a.m. THURSDAY, AUGUST 18. I'or Auckland and North per Rarawa at 7 p.m. The public are again reminded that the postage for letters for the United States of America is 2}d per half ounce, and on newspapers Id for the first 4oz and id for oach additional 2oz. FRIDAY, AUGUST 19. For Australian States, etc., at j8.30 a.m., due Sydney August 21. For India, Ceylon, China, Straits Settlements, Continent of Europe ami United Kingdom (via Suez, for correspondence specially addressed only) at 6.30 a.m., due London October 3. For Wellington and South per Takapuna at 10.30 a.m. SATURDAY, AUGUST 20. For Auckland anid North per Itoioiti at 7 p.m. For Australian States, etc., at 7 p.m., due Sydney, August 2tith. Mails for Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, and Niue Islands close at Auckland on August 21st. Mails for South Africa per Marathon close at Melbourne on September 2nd. Parcel mail for United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, per lonic, close at Wellington August 18th. Mails for Fiji, per Ilauroto, close at Auckland on August 24th. F. 1).
