The Gulf line steamer Carpentaria has teen launched. She has a refrigerating gapacity of 300,000 cubic feet. ( The cutter Tuaruna was capsized by a squall in the Ruatuna River (Auckland) with the crew aboard. The occupants .were rescued in a small boat. The Rarawa sailed from Onehunga at 3.30 yesterday afternoon, for New Plymouth, crossing Manukau bar at 5 o'clock. The Aotea, which went aground at Patea a few days ago, is still on the beach. On Sunday an attempt was made .to get Iwr off, but the cablo aad tackle broke. It is mow thought that she will have to betaken assElhe breakwater.
