Parihaka Road Board.

The ordinary monthly meeting was hold on Wednesday, Present : Messrs Rolhery (chairman), Chapman, Revell, Dunn, Sorrensan, Young and Wright.

H was resolved that the foreman be instructed to put a culvert opposite Mr Corkin's property, on Kaliui Road.

Resolved that Mr Chapman bo informed that the Hoard has no funds with which to carry out work on Sander road.

It was resolved that anything less than £2O spent on the road would be useless.

Mr Revell asked permission to plough Uiio rood alongside of his property.

Resolved that permission be granted providing the work is done to tihe oatisfai'tion of the foreman. Messrs Oxciilmm and 1 A. Wells waited on Uie lioard, and explained that water was draining on to their properties on Puniho road, thereby making a lot of their land of no use. At present tho water was not drainid into a proper water-course, nnd asked the board to make a drain of ailmut ten chains in length to carry the water to tho creek. In reply to a question they said they would be prepared to keep the drain open.

Resolved that if the board gets satisfactory guarantee as to the upkeep of tho drain from the owners, that the work be done as requested. The Harvey road and Parlhaka road west accounts will be amalgamated.
