(P« Prsss Association) PAHIATUA. July 17. A meeting of Opposition supporters was held on Saturday to consider the situation regarding the Pahiatua seat. After the position had been fully discussed Mr F. Perry retired from the contest, and a committee was appointed to wait on Messrs Bolton and Hawkins with a view of getting one or the other to retire so as to have only one man running in the Opposition interest.
